Volunteer Opportunities

Meals on Wheels (background check needed)

  • Drive own car to deliver food packages and meals to seniors’ homes.

Senior Centers

  • Visit with seniors at any one of our senior centers
  • Collect craft items and teach crafts
  • Play music or lead sing-alongs

Administrative

  • Serve on planning committees
  • Help at fundraisers and special events​
  • Serving on sub-committees of the Board of Directors and/or other advisory councils.
  • Assistance with mailings or other light admin tasks

Bridge Adult Day Program

• Volunteer Staff: Volunteer Staff become vital members of the Bridge community by serving as an Activity Assistant for a full morning or full afternoon shift at least once a week. Click HERE to see the requirements and duties for Volunteer Staff.

• Activity Assistant Volunteers: Activity Assistant Volunteers come for one or more hours a week and assist our staff in supporting and enriching the lives of our community through our various scheduled cognitive or physical activities. • Enrichment Volunteer: Enrichment Volunteers present or perform some type of program sharing your love and expertise with the Bridge community. Example presentations can include the following as an individual or group:

  • Play a musical instrument
  • Sing
  • Lead a sing-a-long
  • Read aloud books or a book
  • Dancing
  • Present a show and tell with animals
  • Present a show and tell with specific knowledge, artifacts or arts/crafts
  • Teach them how and help them to create an easy art or craft project

Volunteer Training

The following trainings should only be completed after being instructed to by Human Resources or your volunteer supervisor.
